WAV normally stores raw uncompressed PCM — every sample kept exactly, at whatever bit depth and sample rate was captured. Vorbis inside OGG is lossy and uses variable bitrate by default, so quality is set as a level rather than a fixed kbps figure.
Some, and it is permanent — this is the one direction where information is genuinely thrown away. WAV holds every sample exactly; OGG discards what a psychoacoustic model predicts you will not hear. At 192 kbps and above that prediction is good enough to be transparent on most material and most equipment. Keep the WAV as your master, because you cannot get back to it from the OGG.

OGG carries title, artist, album, year, track number and embedded cover art in the container itself, so a music library files it correctly without a manual pass. Often not. WAV is decoded by essentially everything, including car head units and elderly players; OGG needs software that knows the codec, which standalone hardware frequently does not have. If the destination is a car stereo or a portable player, that is a strong argument for staying on WAV. OGG has poor hardware support — car stereos, older iPods and many TVs will not see the file at all.
Free accounts cap at 100 MB per file, and WAV runs to roughly 10 MB per minute in stereo because nothing about it is compressed — every sample is stored at full width.
