DOCX to JPG Conversion FAQ
Is the DOCX to JPG converter free?
+
Yes. One conversion an hour is free, with no account needed, for a file within the free size limit. A paid plan removes the hourly limit and the size limit, and lets you add several files to one job. JPG is the JPEG standard from 1992, served under the .jpg, .jpeg and .jfif extensions alike, and after three decades it is still the format most cameras and most websites use for photographs.
Will the JPG open directly in a browser?
+
Yes, and the DOCX would not have. Browsers ship a decoder for JPG and none for DOCX, so a DOCX link forces a download while a JPG renders inline. That is usually the deciding factor when the file is going onto a web page rather than into an application. JPG compresses natural photographs superbly and is readable by literally every device, browser and printer in existence.
Can I convert only part of the DOCX instead of all of it?
+
No. There is no page setting for DOCX files, so every page is rendered as its own JPG and you keep the ones you need. If you only want the first page, convert the DOCX to PDF and then use the PDF to JPG converter, whose Pages menu offers First page only.
Do I get one image per page?
+
Yes. Each page renders as its own JPG file, numbered in page order, so a one-page document gives a single JPG and a longer one gives one image per page.
How big a DOCX file can I convert to JPG?
+
Free conversions have a size limit per file, set by the type of file, and the page tells you when a file is over it. A paid plan removes that limit, so much larger files can be converted.
Can I convert many DOCX files to JPG at once?
+
Several files in one job need a paid plan. Free use is one file per conversion, one conversion an hour. On a paid plan you can add several files to one job, then download each result on its own or all of them in one ZIP.
Does the DOCX to JPG converter work on phones / tablets?
+
Yes — the UI is responsive and the conversion pipeline runs server-side, so mobile devices upload-then-download just like desktops. iOS and Android browser file pickers (camera roll, Files app) work end-to-end without an app.
Which browsers does the DOCX to JPG converter support?
+
Chrome, Firefox, Safari (15+), Edge, and Opera. The converter uses a plain `<input type="file">` upload — no WebAssembly or PWA dependencies — so even older browsers convert DOCX to JPG successfully.
Are my DOCX files kept private?
+
Yes. Uploaded DOCX files are processed on our own conversion servers, no person reviews them, and they are never shared. The upload and the converted JPG are both deleted automatically about 24 hours after the conversion, which leaves time to download the result. See /privacy/ for the full policy. DOCX is inspectable, diffable and readable by Google Docs, LibreOffice, Pages and every modern word processor.
What if the JPG download does not start automatically?
+
Disable any pop-up blocker, then click the download button manually. The result link stays active for 24 hours, so if your network fails mid-download you can re-trigger from the result page without re-uploading the DOCX.
