Will the Word look formatted if the Markdown had no formatting?

A Markdown carries no styling information, so the converter applies a clean default — a readable body font, sensible margins, paragraphs separated where blank lines were. Headings are inferred where the source used a recognisable convention, and everything else arrives as body text. Markdown is the same syntax as .md, spelled out in full — some editors and static site generators expect the long extension.
