Does SVG to JFIF conversion preserve transparency?

Transparency survives when JFIF is PNG, WebP, TIFF, GIF, or SVG. Converting to JPG flattens the alpha channel against a white background — if you need transparency, pick a transparency-aware target instead of JFIF. JFIF is the JPEG File Interchange Format — the header specification that makes a raw JPEG bitstream into a portable file.
How much quality will I lose going from SVG to JFIF?

At quality 80-85 the difference is invisible at normal viewing distance and the file typically drops by 60-80%. The catch is that it is one-way: re-saving the JFIF repeatedly compounds the artefacts each time. Keep the SVG as the master and regenerate the JFIF from it whenever you need a new size. SVG renders perfectly at any size, stays editable, is searchable and diffable as plain text, and is usually a fraction of the size of an equivalent PNG. The image data is ordinary JPEG; JFIF just defines the density and thumbnail fields around it, so a .jfif and a .jpg are the same picture.
How does text inside the SVG behave?

In an SVG, text is real text — selectable, searchable and re-styleable, and it needs the font to be available or embedded to render as intended. Converting away from SVG turns that text into pixels or into document text depending on the target; converting towards SVG only produces real text if the source had a text layer to begin with.
What happens to EXIF metadata when converting SVG to JFIF?

In most conversions, camera EXIF fields such as the camera model and GPS position are not carried into the JFIF. There is no setting on this page to keep or remove metadata, so check the result with a metadata viewer if it matters.
Can I batch-convert hundreds of SVG files to JFIF at once?
