How do I convert PPT to PDF for sharing or printing?

Upload the PPT file and the converter renders it onto PDF pages with sensible defaults: A4 / letter size, 1-inch margins, embedded fonts. Multi-page sources (DOCX, EPUB, XLSX) preserve their natural page breaks; single-asset sources (images) get one page each, auto-fit to the page. PPT is the binary Microsoft PowerPoint presentation format from PowerPoint 97 through 2003. PDF is Adobe’s Portable Document Format from 1993, standardised as ISO 32000 and now the universal fixed-layout document.
Can I still edit the content after converting PPT to PDF?

Not the way you edit the PPT. The PDF is a delivery format: it fixes the layout so it renders identically everywhere, which is exactly why it resists editing. Keep the PPT as the working copy and regenerate the PDF whenever the content changes — round-tripping back out of PDF always loses something.
Is the older binary Office format still a safe bet?

It opens everywhere, but it is a compatibility choice rather than a good one. The binary formats predate the XML packages, carry macro payloads that many mail servers strip on sight, and are being steadily deprecated by Microsoft itself. Use them when a specific piece of old software demands them, and the XML format otherwise. PDF is deliberately hard to edit, and a scanned PDF contains no text at all until OCR has been run over it.
Will the PDF open directly in a browser?

Yes, and the PPT would not have. Browsers ship a decoder for PDF and none for PPT, so a PPT link forces a download while a PDF renders inline. That is usually the deciding factor when the file is going onto a web page rather than into an application. A PDF looks byte-for-byte identical on every machine and every printer, which is why contracts, invoices and academic papers all live in it.
What happens to slide animations and transitions?

They are not carried across, because build timing has no representation outside a presentation format. Each slide becomes a static page showing its final state, so anything that was revealed progressively appears all at once. Speaker notes are preserved separately wherever the target has a field for them.
Will the PPT to PDF conversion keep my fonts and formatting?

Yes for text-bearing PPT (DOCX, ODT, HTML, TXT) — fonts are embedded into the PDF so the output looks identical on every viewer. Image-only PPT (JPG, PNG) just centres the image on the page; layout is N/A.
Can I merge multiple PPT files into one PDF?

What page size and orientation does the PDF use?

Will hyperlinks in my PPT survive the PDF conversion?

Yes for PPT formats that carry real hyperlink metadata (DOCX, ODT, HTML, EPUB). Image-based PPT (JPG, PNG, TIFF) have no hyperlinks to preserve. The PDF file uses the standard PDF anchor model so links work in every reader (Acrobat, Preview, Chrome, Edge).
Is the PDF searchable with selectable text?

Yes when the PPT contains real text layers (DOCX, ODT, HTML, TXT, EPUB). Image-based PPT produces an image-only PDF — to make it searchable, follow up with /pdf-ocr/ to run optical character recognition over the page bundle. A PPT is an OLE compound file storing slides, masters, embedded media and animation timings as binary records.
Can I password-protect the PDF after conversion?

Not in this same step — convert PPT to PDF first, then use /pdf-protect/ to add an open password, owner password, or print / edit restrictions. Splitting the steps lets each conversion stay focused and fast.
How big will the PDF file be?

Depends on the PPT. A 10-page DOCX with embedded fonts produces a 200-400 KB PDF. A 10-image JPG batch at full resolution produces a 5-20 MB PDF. The advanced "compress images in PDF" toggle re-encodes embedded images at JPG quality-85 to shrink the PDF aggressively.
